I want to make your stay in this beautiful city an enjoyable experience. I was born in Edinburgh, and have lived here for 40 years. I've run a business manufacturing corporate clothing for 15 years, and prior to that worked in concierge for some top Edinburgh Hotels. I've got many contacts across the city and a huge local knowledge so if you have any questions I'm delighted to help and happy to accommodate requests. I live just along the coast with my wife and our young family, and our central Edinburgh flat is available for guests. I love golf, rugby and any occasion I can wear a kilt!
About The Apartment
Our apartment has been fully refurbished to an extremely high standard, on Edinburgh's world famous Royal Mile. Outside you are immediately in the heart of the historic old town with a multitude of attractions and beautiful parks all within easy walking. After enjoying all the sights enjoy a welcome drink at our stunning apartment which has everything to make your stay extremely safe & comfortable. Our Luxurious x2 bedrooms can be set up as x1 Superking or x2 single beds, entirely your choice.
The space
The apartment is located on New Street, just off the bustle of the Royal Mile. Entering from street level there is a small set of communal stairs to climb to our first floor flat. The accommodation consists of Hallway with coat hanging and full length mirror.
Bright open plan living room with corner sofa and pull out double sofa bed/mattress, dining table with 4 chairs (extends to seat 6), Freeview smart TV and selection of books. Views to Calton Hill. Juliet balcony overlooking the back courtyard.
Brand new kitchen with oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and kettle. Kitchen is equipped for self catering.
Two bedrooms with white linen and towels. Bedroom 1, with views to The Royal Mile, Bedroom 2, facing the back courtyard. Bedrooms can be either 1x kingsize or 2x single. Each bedroom can be adjusted to suit your needs. Please let us know your requirements. Hanging space and a hairdryer in each bedroom provided.
Tiled new bathroom with shower over bath, sink, toilet, heated towel rail, large wall mirror. Soap provided.
Wifi is available free of charge, and there are USB charging points all round the flat. There is a hanging rail for washing, and an iron/ironing board. For guests with children there is x1 travel cot and high chair available on request.
There are many different shops along the Royal Mile. The nearest supermarket (Tesco central) on Holyrood Road stocks a good variety of food and groceries. Mini Sainsburys and M&S also within walking distance. There are lots of lovely cafes and restaurants nearby.
The apartment would be an ideal base to enjoy a staycation, a city break with family or friends, a romantic getaway, or a business/University visit. It is also in a perfect location to enjoy the Edinburgh Festivals and theatres.
Many guests have found the apartment to be in a prime location to combine visiting the city sights with fantastic day trips out of the city to Scotland's easily accessible coastline and golf courses, historic St Andrews, the Scottish Highlands, whiskey tours and trips up to Loch Ness to spot 'Nessie'. Waverley train station, Edinburgh bus station, and car hire are all nearby. And at the end of the day you can come back to the comfort of the apartment.

We personally check in guests for your comfort. I will be at the apartment for your arrival along with giving you a tour of the space and answering any questions you have.
